Kent was born and raised in Kadina and joined the family Pharmacy business after graduating in 1974. He managed Newbery Chemists until his retirement.

He played a variety of sports for Kadina from a young age and under-age football with Norwood Football Club when he moved to Adelaide for University studies.

His association with the Kadina Football Club began in 1962 and he is still active in his role as Patron, supporting and promoting the Club.

After his football playing days, Kent served two separate terms as Treasurer, and has been a League Delegate, Junior coach and was President of KFC in 1985 & 1986.

He is a Life Member of the Kadina Football Club.

Dean Flowers

Before retirement, Dean was a Manager with Telstra.

He has had a lifelong association with Australian Rules Football as a player, coach and Committee member, originally at Snowtown Football Club where he was a member of A Grade premiership teams and coached A Grade and Reserves as well as serving on the committee.

For the last 35 years, Dean has been an active member of the Kadina Football Club as a coach and then Committee member. When awarded life membership of the Club in 2021, he became one of a few who have achieved the unique distinction of being a life member of two Football Clubs.

In his time with the Kadina Club, Dean has coached at all levels and held the position of Club Secretary from 2017 until 2021. His work was instrumental in the Club receiving a grant to upgrade the oval lights.

Until 2023, Dean served on the Yorke Peninsula Football League Umpires Board and was a member of the Mid North and Yorke Regional Advisory Council, an advisory board that sits between the SA Community Football League and the Northern Areas, North Eastern, Adelaide Plains and Yorke Peninsula Football Leagues.

Mathew East

Mathew is well known in Kadina and surrounding districts for his leadership of the East Farm Machinery Group.

Having always lived in Kadina, Mathew had celebrated football and cricket careers with the Kadina Football and Kadina Cricket Clubs.

He is a past premiership player (1984) with Kadina Football Club and enjoyed many cricket premierships as well as playing at Association level.

Mathew is a Past President and Life Member of the Kadina Cricket Club.

Paul March

Paul is still actively working on the family farms on Yorke Peninsula and the West Coast.

He has a long association with the Kadina Football Club as a player, coach and Committee member for many years.

It was during Paul's presidency in the 1990s that the Kadina Football Club leased the licensed premises of the Kadina and District Recreation Centre from the Council. This became the catalyst for the club building their own Clubrooms on the Western side of the Oval.

Paul is a Life Member of the Kadina Football Club.

John Shane

John was Town Clerk (now known as CEO) of the Kadina and District Council for many years until his retirement.

His experience and knowledge of building and infrastructure development, as well as the mechanisms involved in receiving Government support makes him a valuable asset to the Board.

John has served as Kadina Football Club Secretary and also spent several years as Secretary of the Yorke Valley Football League before its amalgamation with the Southern Yorke Peninsula Football League.
